Leaft Foods is barking up a brand-new tree. The Christchurch-based leaf-protein pioneer has launched its Alfalfa Protein Concentrate (APC), a meat-compatible protein derived from green leaves, for the global pet nutrition market. Partnering with Meateor Pet Food Ingredients New Zealand, part of Scales Corporation’s Global Proteins Division, Leaft will distribute APC in the U.S. before rolling into Europe in 2026.
