One Planet Pizza Lands in Thailand

One Planet Pizza Lands in Thailand visual media slide

UK-based One Planet Pizza just did what many ANZ plant-based brands haven’t yet dared: they launched into Southeast Asia, starting with 60 Tops stores in Thailand. The country’s plant-based food market is already worth over £1 billion, and with more than 75 percent of the population lactose intolerant, this move feels almost surgically smart.

The real headline here isn’t the Korean BBQ Chick*n or Three Cheese Margherita pizzettas, it’s that One Planet Pizza saw what others missed. Thailand’s combination of cultural openness to meat alternatives, high dairy intolerance, and rising health consciousness is a triple-threat opportunity zone.

For ANZ brands still looking toward the UK or US for validation, this is the wake-up call. The smart money’s moving east, where flexitarianism isn’t a fad, it’s a default setting.
