Plant-Based Culinary Waves Hit America's Cup Village with Roots & Rolls

This year's America's Cup, in Barcelona, Spain, is not only making waves on the waters but also with the amazing food on offer. A first perhaps in its storied history, the event is hosting a plant-based food truck, bringing a fresh twist to the race village. Roots & Rolls, Barcelona's renowned plant-based restaurant, is charming sailors and spectators alike with its unique flavours at the 37th America’s Cup.


From September 2-8 and again from October 7-13, Roots & Rolls vibrant food truck is parked at Moll de la Fusta, strategically located near the main stage of the event. This appearance follows their participation at COPE28, highlighting the growing appeal of plant-based cuisine in major global events.

Visitors can look forward to indulging in four of Roots & Rolls' most beloved dishes. The menu includes the crispy Heura Foods Karaage, savory New York Peanut Noodles, an artistic array of Canapés, and the signature “GEISHA” vegan sushi. Each dish is crafted to offer a gourmet experience reflecting the innovative spirit of the America's Cup.

This edition of the America's Cup, is in now until to October 27, in the cultural heart of Catalonia, promises to be a landmark event with the introduction of the inaugural Women's America's Cup as well. Barcelona's reputation as a culinary leader is expected to be further enhanced by this integration of sustainable dining options at the race village.
