Australian Startupbootcamp Cohort 2025 Reads Like A Bio-Food Dream List

Aussie StartUp Bootcamp Visual media

Australia’s food future just got a shot of adrenaline. Startupbootcamp Australia has unveiled its latest Cluster Connect accelerator cohort and the line-up reads like a bio-food dream list. Mushrooms, cultivated meat, seaweed biotech, native plant supplements, all under the eye of the federal Department of Industry, Science and Resources. It’s no longer just drones and packaging with the focus shifting squarely into biomanufacturing for food.

Magic Valley is back with its cell-grown meat play, Psymbiotika is pushing therapeutic psilocybin mushrooms, Fascin8foods ( FROOM brand) is cooking up mushroom-based foods, and Immersion Group is using seaweed to tackle methane and restore coastal ecosystems. Add in Land Lab’s indigenous knowledge-driven supplements and M&T Biotech’s serum-free reagents, and you have a cohort feeling less like ag-tech and more like a biotech vanguard.

The signal is clear, finally Canberra may be taking food biomanufacturing seriously. Whether this is a short-term accelerator play or the start of a structural policy shift remains to be seen, but for now, Australia has put mushrooms, meat cells, and seaweed squarely on the menu.
