Kiwi coconut yogurt company, Raglan Food Co, has decided to pull back from launching in the U.S. market. Revealing the 'painful' decision via social media, Latesha Hearth, founder of Raglan, expressed both her affection for the American people and her disappointment in having to halt the expansion.

"During our U.S. adventure, the Raglan team made unforgettable memories, from buzzing around iconic New York City landmarks on their Yogi Cart to participating in local community events. These experiences provided invaluable insights into the U.S. market, where the demand for plant-based products is growing. However, despite the warm reception and the personal connections formed, the challenges of penetrating such a competitive market have proved daunting"
Latesha Hearth's reflection on the experience clearly illustrates the complexity of international market expansions for small New Zealand companies. She acknowledges the hard work of her peers in similar ventures and expresses gratitude to her U.S. team and the various advisors who supported Raglan's journey.

Looking ahead, Latesha Hearth says Raglan is focusing on strategic roles within the company, including the appointment of a new CEO and Operations Manager, while continuing to nurture Raglan's roots in New Zealand.
This strategic retreat from the U.S. market isn't just a step back but appears to be a recalibration, allowing Raglan Food Co. to concentrate on its core strengths and values, ensuring its sustainability and ethos remain intact as it continues to thrive in other markets.
