Easy Home Made Chick Pea Cheese Recipe
1-cup cooked chickpeas
1/4-cup nutritional yeast
1/4-cup coconut oil, melted
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup water
Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
Transfer the mixture to a small saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, for 5-7 minutes, until thickened.
Pour the mixture into a container or mold and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, until firm.
Remove the cheese from the container or mold and slice or shred as desired.
This chickpea-based cheddar cheese is great on sandwiches, crackers, or as a topping for baked potatoes. Enjoy!
