Baked Sweet Potato Fries - A Real Nutritional Treat
2 large sweet potatoes
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1-tsp garlic powder
1-tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
Preheat oven to 425F (220C)
Scrub the sweet potaties and pat them dry with a paper towel. Cut then into thin, ecen sized sticks
In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and black pepper
In a large mixing bowl, toss the sweet potato sticks with olive pil until evenly coated. Add the spice mixture and toss again until the sweet potato sticks are evely coated.
Arrange the sweet potato sticks in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping the sweet potato sticks halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.
Note: For best results, make sure you cut the sweet potato sticks evenly so hey cook at the same rate. Also, if you prefer your fries to be extra crispy, you can broil them for the last few minutes of cooking, but do keep an eye on them to make sure they don't burn.
