PARIMA’s Singapore Greenlight for Cultivated Chicken

PARIMA’s Singapore Greenlight for Cultivated Chicken

PARIMA (France) has just become the first European company to gain regulatory approval for a cultivated meat product, its cultivated chicken, officially cleared by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA).

The decision marks a global milestone for Europe’s food innovation scene and another defining moment for cultivated foods worldwide.

The approval follows a collaborative, science-based review process with the SFA, whose framework remains one of the most advanced globally. It validates PARIMA’s industrial-scale production model, proving cultivated foods can meet both safety and scalability demands. Formed through the merger of Gourmey (cultivated duck) and Vital Meat (cultivated chicken), PARIMA now leads a multi-species platform with eight regulatory filings across Europe, Asia, and North America.

The move cements Singapore’s reputation as the go-to regulatory sandbox for novel proteins and provides PARIMA a launchpad to accelerate its commercial rollout across Asia. With cultivated chicken cleared and duck in the pipeline, Europe’s cultivated sector has officially entered the big leagues.
